Edinburgh has quite the most interesting range of Galleries as well as art shops and smaller independant galleries.
Host to some unique displays of world renowned art, such as the exclusive Monet held here in 2003, there is a changing calendar of interests.
Entrance to the National Museums and most of the Galleries is free - some of the key displays carry an entrance fee.
May 2006 – CowParade Edinburgh begins. Each one is a unique work of art created by artists of all ages. You have 10 weeks to admire them, choose your favourites and tick them off on your Map. The Souvenir Guide, containing photographs of all the cows, feature articles about cows in Scotland, the Community projects, interviews with artists and much, much more, will be on sale in bookshops and other outlets throughout Edinburgh.
